Logan Quinn was trying to kill me. My Spartan classmate relentlessly pursued me, swinging his sword at me over and over again, the shining silver blade inching closer to my throat every time. A smile tugged up his lips, and his ice-blue eyes practically glowed with the thrill of battle...

I’m Gwen Frost, a second-year warrior-in-training at Mythos Academy, and I have no idea how I’m going to survive the rest of the semester. One day, I’m getting schooled in swordplay by the guy who broke my heart—the drop-dead gorgeous Logan who slays me every time. Then, an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is really a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I’m afraid if I don’t learn how to live by the sword—with Logan’s help—I just might die by the sword...

While Touch of Frost was a little slow to start because there was just so much information that needed to be given, Kiss of Frost moves pretty quickly after the first chapter.

I love Gwen so much more in Kiss of Frost because she is turning into a major badass. She is discovering more abilities that come along with her psychometry, like using someones memories to enable her to be able to do something, like hit a target dead center every time. Her psychometry is already so cool and continuing to develop that I can’t see what other abilities she gains.

The tension between Gwen and Logan is driving me crazy. I think it adds something more though that Estep hasn’t made it all happen so quickly like it does it a lot of other series. The romance between them is slowly building, but they have a lot they need to figure out about themselves because they can be with each other. I love the fact that they’re at least building that friendship and being there for one another more.

The plot of Kiss of Frost is just so intense and you get so caught up in it. There is a ton more action and so much more revealed about her family’s past and about her becoming Nike’s Champion. There was so much that came as a shock both to Gwen, and to me as well. Especially since there was so many secrets that were being kept from her.

Estep did an awesome job with making everything in Kiss of Frost blend and run smoothly together while she revealed more information and giving you so much more action without it being overwhelming. I can tell that there are going to be so many more revelations though out the series and I can’t wait to find it all out.
